MTI and L&D Professionals
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS AND THE MERGER TRAINING INSTITUTE
The Merger Training Institute has always worked closely with Learning and Development professionals at major corporations to meet the M&A training needs of executives, senior managers and boards. Two of our flagship M&A training courses were originally developed in coordination with the learning and development function of Thomson Reuters, one of our first clients.
We recognised the key role Learning and Development professionals, and the wider HR function, play in acquiring educational content to maintain and improve the skills essential for business success. To keep you informed about new M&A course developments, and upcoming events, we publish a quarterly L&D professionals briefing.
WHAT DO WE TEACH AND WHO ARE OUR STUDENTS?
Mergers and Acquisitions are a common feature of most industries. Despite the existence of a well established body of knowledge about how to set up and run a successful M&A programme, too often companies let management teams with limited M&A experience make expensive mistakes. Our role at The Merger Training Institute is to provide the skills that will prevent those mistakes.
Our students are typically senior executives and professionals with at least 10 years business experience. General management, strategy, business development, HR and finance are the most common roles, but the post-merger integration courses also attract change managers and IT professionals.
We regularly run in-house courses for entire boards and senior management teams about to embark on an M&A programme.
OUR QUARTERLY L&D PROFESSIONALS BRIEFING
We recognise that mergers and acquisitions training will not be a regular purchase for most organisations, but when necessary can add substantial value at senior levels. To keep up to date information at your fingertips if a need should arise, we produce a quarterly email briefing for learning and development professionals. The briefing contains:
- Dates of upcoming M&A training courses.
- Brief case studies of recent courses and developments.
- Announcements of new courses.
